PNX1500, PNX1700 and PNX0190 Tools

This page contains information about patches and other upgrades for the NDK tools that support the PNX1500, PNX1700, and PNX0190 TriMedia based processors.

Complete NDK/MPTK upgrades are generally available at no charge and are distributed automatically to registered users. Watch the "Recent News" side bar for announcements. If you have a login ID for this site, then you will also receive an email announce upgrades.

Note that the NXP NDK and libraries release support a specific chip set, i.e., NDK 2 supports PNX1300, NDK 5 supports PNX1500/1700/0190. You can not upgrade from NDK 2 to NDK 5. For PNX1300, see PNX1300 Tools.

Current NDK / MPTK

Latest version is NDK 5.8/TCS 5.1 and MPTK 2.5. This release contains improvements and enhancements to a number of tools and libraries. Registered customers can view NDK 5.8, MPTK 2.5 and TCS 5.1 release notes via this link.

If you do not have this version, please use this request form to inquire about receiving an upgrade.

Board Support Libraries (BSL)

The NXP NDK package includes BSLs for the NREF card by Streaming Networks, Mediabox (Mbox), and Digital Media Adapter (DMA) and LCP-1500/1700 cards by Momentum Data Systems (MDS).

Software for the Media Box PMP reference design is included in the NDK distribution.

Some updates (MDS JTAG driver, MDS DMA, MDS LCP-1500/LCP-1700) are available via our third party download page, which is available to registered customers via this link). Questions regarding third party hardware should be referred back to the manufacturer.

Purchasers of other hardware from Streaming Networks, MDS or other third parties should contact those companies directly for updates.
